this was a very trivel collision and did not need to cause as much trouble as it did as the female driver of the car left her car even though it was not badly damaged and the truck driver refused to move as did the lady driver till police arrived when they did they rightly was annoyed as all it needed was to go and find somewhere to exchange detail the police should take action against these 2 drivers for causing this much chaose as there could of been more accidents there witch could of caused injury or could of caused a delay to fire or ambulance crews if there was a life and death situation .
also why did it take ages for police to get there?
i point to remember if u have a accident and you can move the cars please do ,then get details dont bloke road unless injurys or sever damage .expecially on roundabouts

What do you expect from a woman driver. She probably broke a fingernail, and then had to have her hair done before anybody could see her.

It was indeed, very annoying and irritating.
Being completely avoidable makes it even more so!

Yes it was a trivial accident, blocking the roundabout in a manner likely to cause a more serious one that had already happened. Can anyone from TVP explain why it took over an hour for any sign of a police or traffic vehicle to alleviate the problem?

Grrrrr - makes me so angry. I myself am a woman but unlike this silly cow my first thought would be to get out of the way for everybody else - not stay and wait for police!! How ridiculous, and selfish! It causes so much agro for everyone else, I was sat in that traffic jam for nearly an hour with my 3yr old in the back and didnt know what had happened until now, now I find out it could have been avoided!!

I agree with Leah TVP -it was selfish of the woman to hold everyone up. Why are people allowed to drive when they clearly have no concept of the people around them. More to the point why did the people at the front of the cue help out. They are worse than two people involved. Someone could have photo'd the scene and acted as a witness so the traffic could have been moved. TVP should have acted quicker however

There wasn't a need for TVP to attend as it was such a trivial 'accident' I've had 'accidents' bigger than that before but have not felt the need to call the police as I wouldnt want to waste their time

Understand your point completely and posted earlier to express the anoyance factor being caught up in it.
What must be bourne in mind is that any individual who attempted to move, or even touched the vehicles involved becomes a culpable witness.
This could lead to claims against the individual being persued for interference with evidence. (Think Compo Time!)
In this current climate it is far safer to not get involved.
Sorry to be very negative but this is the modern trend.
As for TVP; well1111

both these drivers should be charged with wasting police time. also all the drivers who were sat in the traffic as far back as the cowley flyover should claim compo for the wasting of costly fuel and their time.

It is not a problem; Just sending this via my Blackberry. Stuck in a traffic jam; [bold]again![/bold]
Nothing better to do.
Perhaps you were playing snoker at the time you wrote cue?
Back to more salient points; traffic and Oxford do not mix. End of story!

I find the sexism in some of the comments on this thread absolutely disgusting. The sex of either driver is not relevant.
